While i was listening to the Saturday afternoon sessions of General Conference. I was touched by Elder Neil L Andersen's talk on Children. He said, " Faithful members who circumstances do not allow them to receive the blessings of eternal marriage and parenthood in this life will receive all promised blessings in the eternities, [as]they keep the covenants they have made with God."
Those words are so powerful to comfort my heart. Aaron and i always want to have a big family with many children. However, we did several medical tests , still couldn't bear our own child. We did suffer a lot and the physical pains were more than you though. When we just waited for four years and few months, Gordon came into our lives. We didn't expect that we would have a baby.
We adopted him right after his three days of his birth. He is so precious to us. When we hold him, our sorrowing spirits were filled with God's love. Our tears came down and couldn't believe that we are parents.
As we watching Gordon each day growing processes, we have come to realize how much the Lord's promises will fulfill by many different ways. Our babies may not come from us but will from others. But they are all Children of God. We don't need to feel bad about ourselves. We are still God's partners. I love being a mom. The spirit has been teaching me how to be a better mom.
I know how to help baby to sleep through the night and sleep by themselves and also help them having a very stable emotions in order to prepare them so serve their mission with strong faith someday.
I do really grateful for many wonderful blessings have been coming to our lives.
